  • Monday's class will start 15 minutes later than the scheduled time.
  • Submission program is now working. Check the note below about summary submissions.
  • The list of papers has also been updated
  • A major change in how we do paper summaries. Based on feedback that paper summaries due at each class is too much compared to standard graduate summaries, the new format will be as follows. You will need to turn in one paper summary per unit. The summary should cover any 3 of the papers in the unit and is due the class after the end of the unit. For the first unit, you can either turn in a summary in the new format, or the old format or some reasonable combination (so if you did 2 summaries already, you can turn in your third at the end of the unit.)
  • In todays class, Jimmie will start todays lecture by describing how to use R to compute the statistics we presented in class on wednesday. Then I will go over multiple hypothesis testing and Raymond will give his presentation on the Brem and Kruglyack paper.
  • This Wednesday, while the class is officially cancelled, Jimmie will present how to load in and process expression data and SNP data in R. By the end of the session, you all should be able to replicate the types of analyses in the papers in this unit yourselves.
